Jordan Made Sneakers for Jeff Green’s Heart Surgery
A life-changing moment for one of Jordan Brand’s athletes got a sneaker tribute via the Air Jordan 31 seen in the video above. The exclusives belong to newly signed Cleveland Cavalier Jeff Green, who narrates the clip and explains how they tie back to his open-heart surgery five years ago.
“I was blessed enough to have this Air Jordan 31 made for me in remembrance of my heart surgery,” Green says.
The red and white sneakers feature stitching referencing Green’s post-surgery scar, the name of the doctor who operated on him, the date of the surgery, and the American Heart Association logo on the tongue.
Green has worn the Jordan 31 plenty before, taking to the court in PE colorways during his time with the Orlando Magic last season.
